Buffalo Checkin’

img_5391Buffalo plaid is all the rage this season, and I’m just as in love with it as every other fashion lover is. This adorable skirt was purchased at Old Navy. I paired it with some textured tights (also purchased at Old Navy) to add a little something extra to the mix. It’s detailed enough that it adds personality to the outfit, but not so busy that it takes away from the uniqueness of the skirt. Side Note: Old Navy is one of my favorite places to shop. I’ll tell you why.. the quality of the items are impeccable for the prices you pay. Second Side Note: there is absolutely no reason to pay full price for the items in this store. Who doesn’t love great quality for an even better price? If you pay close enough attention the sales change almost weekly. Unless it’s something you cannot live without.. watch the sales online and I can almost 100% guarantee that you can buy the item you love on sale. Sales are the only way to go. I love shopping, but I’m also frugal when it comes to buying the items I love. Forget the designer prices. If you know where and when to shop you can still look like a million bucks without having to spend a million bucks. Can I get an AMEN? This adorable rancher hat was purachsed at Jcrew factory.(Also on sale.) At any Jcrew Factory or Jcrew store even if they aren’t having a sale.. they give student and teacher discounts. These discounts can also be used on top of any promotion they have going on in the store at that time. (You can thank me later.) I love the wool texture of this hat, and the fact that it adds a little contrast to a mainly all black outfit. Ask anyone, cognac is my favorite nuetral. This top was purchased at Hollister. I know, I know. You’re all thinking I only think of graphic tees and ripped jeans when the word Hollister comes to mind, but I am here to tell you that they have really stepped up their game. This knit choker top was on sale and can be paired with just about anything. I love versatile pieces that can be worn with more than just one outfit. My mom always gets after me for buying individual pieces instead of a complete outfit, but in all honesty that’s my favorite way to shop. The more versatile the better. The Coach rainboots finished the look I was going for on this rainy Sunday afternoon. I was dying for a pair of rainboots with bows on them, but couldn’t ever find any. Hence, I got a little innovative and tied my own ribbons onto these plain and simple boots. Lastly, my favorite red lipstick of all time. Mac: retro matte ruby woo. It adds that red lip classic thing that boys like. Okay, corny tswift reference but you get the point. If you have a vision in your head of how something should look, don’t settle. Make it your own, and stand out in a crowd in your one of a kind pieces. Anyway, hope you enjoy my first post. There will be more to follow. Happy shopping. 😘
